A very late Woman Wednesday

Hi ladies! What has you been doing to take care of yourself? It can be as simple as saying no to your pushy coworker to changing your routine to allow for more inner peace.

I went out of town last week and had a great time. No DH, just a girlfriend and plenty of wine.

Right now, I am reminding myself that I absolutely look dreadful in orange. Otherwise, I might be burying g DH in the rose garden. I am fasting, have had no wine in days and spent my day getting things done for everyone, including SD 18. Yes, it was inconvenient for me as I had to rearrange some things. DH gets the thank you text. (My credit card, this thing was cancelled then rescheduled with no notice. I'm the one that made it happen ).

Still, fine. But wait, DH tells me after the thanks text, SD is asking for more money. We already paid twice what we agreed upon. I'm really annoyed that he can't seem to say "No, we had an agreement and we already spent twice that amount". Just fyi, this is for something I had my DD, 15, pay entirely when she was 14.

Good question. Besides the weight loss stuff, I have been taking it very easy this past month with my schooling. I had an incredibly busy September, October and first half of November and just crashed afterwards. I felt guilty at first but then realized that January 1 is a new year and I can stress myself out in 2016 because the rest of 2015 is for ME!!!!

The most important thing for me is the realization that no matter how much I adore DH and our life together I have a backup plan that does not include him.

I had a great life without him - and could do so again. I am financially very secure - probably better off without him.

Not that I want to dispose of him. But it is so freeing to realize that I do not have to have this man to have a great life.

I am old (pushing 70) but realize that I am extremely desirable on the "market". I am attractive with lot of great assets - lots of older men would be thrilled to have me.

I'm not doing a bloody thing

I'm not doing a bloody thing to take proper care of myself. Stress ate too many cinnamon rolls the other day, have a horrible cold that has my nose raw and appears to be turning into bronchitis, and, to top it off, I have 2, count'em TWO, tires that are rapidly losing air. I have zero Christmas spirit and not a single gift wrapped - not sending cards this year either - and am seriously considering a couple of shots of whiskey before the skids arrive Christmas day. Ugh. I need a vacation.

I am throwing skid gifts into bags and writing their names on the bottoms of the bags. No gift tags, no bows, no ribbons.

Frankly, I'd really like to take PrincASS's gifts and stuff them up his left nostril. I don't think anyone will let me get away with that though...
