That's what today was. I was heading to court out of county and there was a car behind me. It revved up and followed me. It raced to the lane next toe then got behind me again. It rode my bumper. Then it got in the lane next to me. Then the driver pulled up next to me and flipped me off. Then it came into my lane trying to run me off the road. Once, twice and then a third time. I watched in horror as the person in the car next to me screamed profanities and tried to make me crash. Then this person ran into a car at a stoplight. 20 minutes later I was still shaking. I had called the police and reported it, the driver left the scene of the accident. The cops were out in full force, the beauty of being an officer of the court. The look on the driver's face was the most pure hatred I had ever seen. The driver was arrested and is now in jail on a 4th offense DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

The driver was BM. She's never gotten aggressive or hostile with me before. She's never been that brazen. She was really drunk. I called my paralegal and she told me to file a protection order. A lawyer in my office was murdered by a disgruntled client last year so they are high alert. When did this become my life?

I am fine though exhausted from the adrenaline. I how the county attorney realizes she threatened me before she goes for bond tomorrow. This her third arrest in a month for a felony. She's a menace

How scary! Sounds like it's out of the movies...one of those things you don't want to believe could happen but actually does. Glad you are okay, stay safe.

Oh my gosh. Truly, truly frightening. I'm glad you're ok. Your BM brings a new meaning to high conflict.

Oh my goodness! I would be somewhere between livid and scared to death! These days when someone messes with me in traffic, I just slow way the hell down to make sure that IF something were to happen, I'm safer than I would be, traveling at full speed. This is, of course, with people I don't know who share the road with me and like to act like asshats.

I'm so sorry BM is so F-ing crazy! Thank goodness the cops caught her. She is probably just jealous of you. Will they lock her up for being such a menace?

I had someone in a work truck try to pass me going uphill on a blind curve in the road about a month ago. All I saw were headlights moving to the driver's side behind me, and next thing I know, there is a car coming around the bend towards both of us! The shoulder was very narrow and this was on a back country road on the way to work. It was dark out, before sunrise. The truck behind me decided to slip back into the lane behind me just as the oncoming car laid on it's horn. Fifteen minutes later we're down in the city at a red light and I look over to see that the truck is marked with a company name, one that I'm familiar with. I wrote an email describing the experience and the sheer stupidity of their employee. Turns out it was a new hire who had taken the truck without permission. They fired the employee before 11am that morning.

Glad you're ok and that you took action to call crazy BM in to the cops. People like that shouldn't be allowed on the road. Crazy.

Thank God you are ok. Just remember to stay calm and let them get what they deserve! My exes genius of a GF kept texting me with where I was, how she knew where I was etc...yeah, way to document your stalker-ness!

I did get a temporary protection order even though they only gave her a 500 bond. It was scary because she has NEVER done anything like this. She's never been friendly but this was her first time actually being aggressive. It was terrifying. I have to meet wth police tomorrow to give them my official statement. I was on my way to court and so I talked to them on the phone for a short period of time. She was served in jail today with the protection order so I am sure she is cursing my name and saying all kinds of shit. What she doesn't realize is I represent half the women in there with her and they like me. If this had happened three years ago I would be gone. She was just completely wasted and so I don't think it would have happened but for that. She has multiple pending felonies (domestic assault in Dec and a DUI and leaving the scene last week) so she's probably going to prison. Tha kfully I ised my head and avoided an accident but it was scary. I am afraid she is at the point where she feels like she has nothing to lose. But the whole situation was the true definition of karma being a bitch
