DH will look for ANYTHING to praise his precious perfect.

SD16 has been a nightmare for the past 2+ years. She seriously couldn't make worse choices for herself. She will likely not finish high school and I'm willing to bet she is pregnant by 18. Anyhoo...she texted both DH and I on Thursday a picture of a quilt. Her mom and her have been working on this for about a year. SD16 never finishes anything in her life so DH was practically giddy with pride! I was nice and texted her back. "Looks very nice". DH went on and on about how she is finally turning her life around. Apparently he can tell that from a picture of a quilt. DH and SD16 texted each other for over an hour on how proud he was of her for this and that he knew it would be beautiful ever before he saw it. I just wanted to vomit. She does ONE impressive thing (and that's only if BM didn't finish it for her) and she's a changed person! Pull the tractor and trailer out of storage Homer, we gots ourselves a parade to throw!!!

Afterthought: She was texting DH during school hours...me thinks she took another one of many 'sick days' that she needs since she's doing soooooo well in school this year. She may pass Fashion Design (is that even a course??!!) but will fail the other 3. So she's too sick to go to school but not so sick that she can quilt? Hmmm...
