I have not been on Step Talk that long but really love the site. Wish I had found it 10 years ago when I first became a stepmom. Now that I have found it I want to ask questions about things that happened in the past but for some reason it is not well received by others on step talk.

DH & I are estranged from two (msd & yss) and we are starting to have a better relationship with the 3rd (osd).

The treatment and rejection from skids was really hard for me but now I see that I am really blessed to not have their toxic unappreciative buttocks around me. I think I do have fears that they will come back into the picture. Don't get me wrong. I would truly love for them to come back into the picture "IF" they want to apologize and have a real relationship. Tired of the superficial, strife filled environment that always followed them.

Anyway, I have questions regarding treatment I had received which is now history but I still would like to see how others would have handled it or what advise would be given. If I could do key word searches perhaps I could find similar that has already been addressed on steptalk without having to spend hours searching years of talk here.

I know that I am just searching for validation regarding past treatment. I had always been made to feel like the bad guy when what I was feeling would really be NORMAL for any human. When I read about stuff that I can relate to I feel I leave stronger. Hope that makes since.
