Congrats....
So if she had failed her senior year, would she have gone back to school and DH would still have to pay CS? :O
In our state, she had to be
In our state, she had to be making a "good faith effort" to graduate....missing 67 days of school wasn't a good faith effort. I am pretty sure we would have been done.
Don't forget these hot messes live across the street from me, so I get to see the broke asses try to live on no child support! It's gonna be the Cirque de Brokelay!
YAY!! You two need to
YAY!! You two need to celebrate!
CONGRATS!!!!
CONGRATS!!!!
Our end of CS is mere months
Our end of CS is mere months away!
After allll these friggen years the end is in sight. BUT then we have to pay for 75% of his college for 4 years... Well, we don't HAVE to - we chose to. But at least horse-faced BM won't be seeing a dime and she will be OUT of our lives. However, I bet she still tries to guilt DH out of money every chance she gets.
Wooo hooooo!
It's a great feeling, isn't
It's a great feeling, isn't it! Congratulations!!

Congrats!
My husband's daughter is turning 13. I'm not getting her a card but if I did it would probably say "Only 5 more years!" instead of the customary "happy birthday!".
That's awesome! You know what
That's awesome!
You know what was even better in our case? DH refused to speak to BM after CS ended. BM free for almost 5 years now.
*Standing ovation* Seriously.
*Standing ovation*
Seriously. I had to work on that with DH. He kept insisting that there might be occasions that he would have to speak with the ex even after the kids age out. Do you know how I finally convinced him that wasn't true? I had to remind him of ALL of the important people in his life... friends, etc. whose weddings, graduations, etc. he attended. He was there for THAT person. Their other family members are usually inconsequential. Other people's mothers don't end up on his radar. They exist but he doesn't feel the need to keep up with them. The same goes for his kids' mother. This was a difficult battle but I really think he understands now.
DH definitely doesn't speak
DH definitely doesn't speak to BM. As far as I'm concerned, she is now a non mutha f'ing factor anymore.
Yea, it is a great feeling,
Yea, it is a great feeling, except now college is costing MORE than child support did. But yes, we aren't sending it to the BM anymore. We were lucky though BM is an enabler, and the money DID go to the kids, not stuff for BM. Only the best for the 'girls'.
I am so envious of you.
