SD18 stole from her cousin. They have a rather large stockpile that they have accumulated from couponing and canning foods. They let SD18 stay with them for a few days. *note that she still has a court date sentencing pending for pleading guilty to theft from us of over 800 dollars worth of things*. Lawyer says she will probably get probation and her checks garnished until we are paid back. She also has a drug problem that has come to light. DH warned his cousins but they felt bad for her and took her in anyways.

They said they woke up yesterday and SD was gone. So was a stack of toothbrushes, some canned sauces, razors, wipes, juices ect. Their storage shed lock is always hanging on the key ring by the front door. They think SD snuck back there in the middle of the night and just stole whatever could fit in her boyfriends truck. Its so freaking sad. DH tracked her down at a friends house. She had a whole lot of BS reasons for why she took the stuff. We all know it had something to do with drugs. I wasn't there but I know DH is very intimidating when pissed off. HE made the BF open the truck and he put the items into his truck and put SD's ass in the truck and took her back to the cousins to apologize. They actually said they are not pressing charges and they forgive her.

Now she is back to staying with her aunt. This whole thing is freaking sad. She is turning into a carbon copy of her mother. DH is broken up about all of it. He couldn't help BM and his hands are tied with SD. She is 18 so he can't force her to do anything. She is going to face her sentencing and he is going to put her in rehab. She says she wants to go. BM when to rehab I think twice and she still spiraled downward until she ended up in prison. I've been here since SD was 10. SHe use to be sweet and funny , a little annoying at times but she had so much promise and did so good in school. She swore up and down she would not end up like her mother. Now I don't know what went wrong. Its hurting all of us but DH the most. We don't even know what to do anymore. Its just sad. I know this is all on SD and we can't go blaming other people. But its like ever since she got this BF and started hanging with his crowd she will do any and everything to impress him. Drugs, stealing, running off to another state and back. Its just really sad. She is so much better than this.
