Bright side
I was thinking today that the subconscious desire to compete with our respective BMs, if addressed and handled the way it should be, really gives us the opportunity to be better parents.

A better parent to her kids??? Yuck
I don't parent BM and DF's kids. I will help him with some things here and there, but I refuse to do his job for him.

There's no competition. Even disengaging, he's better off with me. His BM lies about what she's done for her children. Sadly SS16 believed her lies & thought he didn't need to do homework because he already "had a scholarship" that she texted & facebooked to everyone a couple years ago. The woman is a high school drop out & thinks SAT stands for Sucking A Teacher! My BD always got straight As & got a full ride at a great school. So boy was skid surprised how the scholarship process works.
LOL@ Tog. Yes I always said my skid was raised by a pack of wolves before he lived here. Then I realized, wolves are better parents, at least they prepare their young for life.
