Little Idiot marked herself safe from Milton. Even though she wasn't anywhere near the tornadoes or hurricane damage. Maybe they got some localized street flooding. 

Knowing her she probably was all upset she didn't get a ton of people messaging her saying "OMG ARE YOU OK?!?!?!" so she had to go fishing for it on social media. (Not many relatives commented.. a few did)

DH didn't even reach out. At first I was a little shocked but then I thought well he watched the news closely though and he obviously must have determined there was nothing going on in her area. 

Besides it's not like she ever reaches out to see how he's doing. DH could be dead and she wouldn't know until her gifts or plane tickets didn't arrive in the mail. 

Anyway, being that I didn't even comment and she's 1000s of miles away from me, I've marked MYSELF safe from her attention-seeking. I'm sure the family wonders why I never react to any of her posts or fawn over her but I've got my excuse all lined up should they ask.

YSS has been in FL the last few years.  He is fine, his area was unaffected.  He has a cavalier attitude toward hurricanes.  Wait til one hits him, he doesn't get it

I really hope LI maintains a cavalier attitude. If she gets scared she might run back up here. 
 

DH said afterwards that we should make sure to tell her not to buy a house in FL (due to these storms becoming more frequent and severe). It kinda caught me off guard and I didn't know how to answer that because there's not a bank in this galaxy that's going to approve her for a mortgage anytime soon (if ever).

My DS and DIL were here today.  They lived in FL for years and loved it.  They still go back with their RV in the winter.  They've consideted buyng again but have decided against it, thank heavens.  I said, live in something that you can drive iaway.  I told OSS the same thing when he was gifted with property on the Mississippi.

Buying a house?!  Daddy is delusionally optimistic over his spawn's prospects.  Even if she could get a loan, odds are her income will not allow for her to buy much more than a tiny house. Not that there is anything wrong with a tiny house.  I have considered one myself.

That's exactly what I was thinking. She can't make half the rent on an apartment. Her credit score is in the 400s, she's behind on all her payments. She doesn't even have the income to justify a mortgage because she doesn't claim her tips.

When I was a restauranteur I withheld taxes on 10% of sales on the paychecks for my tipped employees and paid that to the IRS.  The IRS goes through cycles on auditing tipped workers.  Odds are of course low that an indiividual  would bet audited. However, it does happen  Our business CPA indicated that our withholding of taxes on tips in all liklihood minimized audit risks on our business and on our tip credited employees..

The drama/sympathy trolls are nauseating.  Hopefully her targeted market for her look at meeeeeeee crap is catching on, learning, and abandoning her.

My SIL is one of these and she eventually naseated her sympathy minions enough that even they ignore her crap. So much so that she is not doing the social media whiney trolling crap. She pouts significantly IRL but even then the last few visits to my ILs she is just ignored.

Boo Hoo!  As much as she professed "I'm spe-cial!!!"  over the years, as a kid and as an adult ,complete with whiney cutesy voice, she has proven to be any thing but.  Now she is wallowing in the fertilizer bed she has created for herself.  Her pouty late 30s supposed adult crap makes me laugh and SMH. She hates that at family gatherings.  Even her own kids, a HS Sr and an 11yo, give her the stone faced smirking  subtle head shake. That just makes it harder for me to keep my chuckling disdain under control.

My younger NPD sister is milking our mother's death for all its worth.   She even received a Teddy Gram from a former boyfriend.  What is pathetic is she is social media friends with all of her paramours and she has non-stop posted grieving memes going into the fourth week now.

People like LI and well SKIDS overall should just save some time  and Post NEEDS ATTENTION. they might as well since we all know that's what they are hungry for.

Don't be afraid to starve the Beast. It's time someone does. 

Those types with this whole poor me..I need constant validation  attitude are quite annoying. Most people usually end up seeing right through it. Those who can't are  most likely just like  them IMHO.  They are free to feed into these gluttons...just don't ask why I refuse.

Living with her was awful. She would follow me around at the end of the day fishing for compliments to feed her need for constant adoration and praise. It was exhausting to deal with after a long day. I get that her dad doesn't really pay her any attention and her mom is the same way as she is (sucking attention/never giving it) so that probably why she acts this way but it's still tiring. I think it's a symptom of someone who has no self-confidence so they need to constantly get it from external sources.

Yes. Feel your pain also having an emotionally clingy SD you your ass following you around..needing constant reassurance  and rambling nonstop about herself.  You feel like you get the life sucked out of you after every interaction.

God that's funny. I'm picturing some poor guy...like the pizza delivery boy in Home Alone..trying to navigate some rickety little car through that storm.  God forbid LI or Skunk Ape miss a meal or have to actually prepare one for a day.
