She's coming SD16 hasn't been here in over 2 months

Is been the most peaceful 2 months,  minus a hiccup or 2, but literally DH is on his way to go pick her up right now.  My stomach is in knots about what it is going to be like for her to be back.  Lucky one of my DDs is at work, the other is at a friend's until dinner time.  So it will be minimal, but last night my anxiety was getting the best of me and i couldn't sleep, and now DH is on his way to pick up the cause of my anxiety... maybe things will go well, and then i can sleep better tonight?  Ugh, wish me luck guys.

Good luck and just remember you don't have to entartain her, placate her anything.   You can treat her with polite disinterest, she is there to visit with her father.   If she gets upset causes a scene anything like that just leave the room and ignore.

Remember, you don't have to do anything but treat her like you would treat someone you don't know... be a polite stranger.

Omg, she's been here for almost an hour, is sitting in the room with me the entire time and hasn't spoken to me or looked at me once....

Where's your DH and why isn't he making smalltalk with her? Or does he think that if he leaves you alone with her that she'll grow on you?

He was in there for half the time, then he had to go do some laying off Amazon/Ebay items. That's the only way he is making enough to cover CS right now... he probably does think that

DH should feel way more pain disappointing you than his daughter.  She should feel Unwelcomed and walking on eggshells after all the drama she's caused (if I have the right story)  If he brings her again , leave her be. Find something  better to do.  I also wouldn't hesitate to remind her why she's getting the cold shoulder if she asks.  No way would I let her walk out thinking she "won" anything.

How did the rest of the night go?

I hope you were able to get some rest and like the others said- she isn't your job!!! Just breathe and preoccupy yourself with other things! 

I cannot express how much I love my Facebook Portal in the kitchen. I would spend hours cooking and watching crime shows when SS was here!! Once dinner was over, I would clean the kitchen (Usually my other SS's job) just to avoid "family time".
