H's denial has reached a whole new level
So apparently, SS was messing around in the living room and the coffee that I left on the end table next to the sofa got knocked over and spilled all over some papers that I had laying there.
According to my H, if I hadn't left my coffee there then it wouldn't have gotten spilled and my papers wouldn't have gotten ruined.
Naturally, it's not SS's fault in any way.
It's alllllllll MY fault.
What a f*cking douchbag.

wow. That is a new level of
wow. That is a new level of douchebaggery.
I kinda want to punch your DH and take your SS for a nice LOONNGGGG walk in the forest...
I kinda not only would let
I kinda not only would let you, but I kinda want to be the one to hold H down so that you can punch him in the face. I also kinda want to give you directions to the nearest dense forest...
Maybe when SS leaves his iPod
Maybe when SS leaves his iPod laying around somewhere, I will "accidentally" spill something on it. Then, when SS starts crying about it, I will look at him and H and simply say, "If SS hadn't left his iPod laying there it wouldn't have gotten ruined when I accidentally spilled my drink."
The logic makes perfect sense....
:?
I know, right? I couldn't
I know, right?
I couldn't believe it when the words came out of his mouth!?!?!
My emotions in succession of them happening:
:O :? :jawdrop:
Exactly!!! I told H that I
Exactly!!! I told H that I was really disgusted and disappointed that his first response to the situation is to blame ME for something that his son has done. I also told him that THIS is the behavior from HIM that makes it so that I am not excited or happy when SS is coming over. So what, SS spilled something. It's not the end of the world. BLAMING ME for SS doing it is bullshit though.
I will be at your sleepover in spirit.
EXACTLY!!! Dude, when I think
EXACTLY!!!
Dude, when I think of that moment and the look on SS's face... "Creep Factor" is a really good way to describe it.
Apparently it has because H
Apparently it has because H has not seen fit to have SS apologize to me for messing around in the living room, for spilling my coffee, nor for ruining my papers.
Clearly the moment was so traumatizing for HIM that I am the one who is supposed to apologize....?
Same exact thing happened to
Same exact thing happened to me!! I poured myself a glass of soda, set it on the table and went to get something else quickly. SD was flinging around her stuffed animal and happened to knock my soda over. Guess who SO blamed? Yup me! I should've known better than to put my soda on the table where SD can get to it. He got mad at me and told me it was MY fault. F**ken douche. Man was I pissed.
Karma bit him in the ass though when he left his brand new shoes on the floor and my cat puked inside his shoe. I told him it was his fault for leaving the shoes on the floor.
THAT IS AWESOME!!! What did
THAT IS AWESOME!!!
What did your H do when you said that to him? Did he make the connection??
He got mad and blamed the cat
He got mad and blamed the cat AND me! Even though I told him numerous times not to leave anything on the floor since my cat is old, and has a bit of a puking problem! But when skid does something stupid its my fault of course. I did end up flipping out on him over the soda incident and I was so mad I accidentally angrily spewed out its not my fault SD is a f**ken idiot!! He didn't say anything to that because he knew I was about to lose it and leave.
Haha love the story about the dog...the dog is rude? So its ok for the kid to be rude? Wow...
Oh man. I would have a
Oh man. I would have a meltdown of epic proportions! And throw such a tantrum no one could get a word in for about 5 minutes. And call them both every name in the book.
I did that a couple of times. I think I ripped up one of the SSs pictures as well. DH just stared at me and SSs ran for cover.
Seriously? I would
Seriously? I would accidentally on purpose spill a drink on something that belongs to the kid and then tell DH it was his fault for leaving it out...or if you have wood floors every time someone leaves a drink on that table, knock it over and say "Well, that's what happens when you put your drink on a table." Because it makes total sense that leaving your drink on the table is irresponsible...NOT!
