1325.50$
That's how much child support we will owe.
Until the skids are 18. That's it. 11$/month. That's what we were ordered to pay BM. So...SS7 and SD6 are now only "worth" 1325.50$ to BM until their 18th birthdays. Not to mention she is now responsible for 1/2 of all copays, deductibles, prescriptions, and any and all other child related expenses. Yet, not allowed to make any decisions, or so much as even an appointment for either child. Now that they are not on state medical insurance, that means we now have a 35$ copay for each doctors visit, and SSs meds are no longer covered. With our insurance because their isn't a generic we have a 40$ copay for his meds. Every month. Bwahahahahahaha. Will she ever pay? Probably not. But guess what? I'm organized and I keep everything. I bought a 3-ring today just for all the receipts that I will be sending her copies of certified mail after each time we get one. Our atty said just keep them all and take her back to court once a year for contempt. I also think I will e-mail her once a month much like a bill collector would. BM, the following charges were added to your total this month xxxxx. This leaves your running total owed at xxxxx. You can make payment via cheque at any time to xxxxx. Thank you. Hahahahaha. I mean, this is absurdity. Our state is so stupid. This stupid child support worksheet is lunacy. Because DH makes more money than BM (by a stupid amount), she gets the skids 3 weekends a month, and EOW during the summer and WE have to pay HER. I already told DH I'm going to just write her a damn cheque all at once for the next 10 years. 1325.50$ to never have to give her anything again? Okay. Done. Not to mention the satisfaction I will get every time I go to the post office to mail off yet another bill I know she won't pay. It isn't even amount the money at this point. It's about the principal of the matter. I'm paying this bitch to take care of her screwed up children that we're having to put in therapy because of HER mess, that we're having to pay for medication for because SHE was an idiot, that we're having to attempt to undo all of her bs for because SHES a dumbass. I'm over it.
Our atty said that she can never take us back for a readjustment though. He said that the only time you are allowed for a reevaluation is a. if you're on state aide, then the state will require a re-eval every 2 years, or b. if you're the residential parent. So, I guess we could take her back for a re-eval every two years. Not that it will matter unless she gets a decent job or something. Which I definitely don't see happening at any time over the next 10-12 years (the time until the skids turn 18). Oh well. 1325.50 it is. Here ya go BM. Have a wonderful life. Bitch.

Haha. That's true. My MIL
Haha. That's true. My MIL told me to send it to her every month, and not to pay in advance at all. She told me to have DH send it to her with the receipts for SSs meds, as well as for the receipts for both skids therapists, and their doctors. Even if they just see their therapists once a month, and this is without SD on meds (she will be next school year), and SS not on meds bc it's summer time...her half would be 75$ just for the therapists once a month. Hmm...maybe we should mail her the check, along with a deposit slip for our bank hahaha.
Or have it direct-deposited
Or have it direct-deposited weekly }:)
Ends up at $2.75 a week
Yeah. After talking to DH I
Yeah. After talking to DH I think we're going to have it taken out of his chek every week and directly deposited in to her account via child support services. That way she can NEVER say we didn't pay her, and it's never an issue. Oh, and that way she can look forward to her 2.75/week. Hahahaha. I will still of course send her EVERY receipt certified mail and continue to keep everything and will probably take our lawyers advice and do one of two things: take her back to court once a year and have her ordered to pay OR wait until the oldest is 17 ish, and take her back to court for the past 9-10 years worth of crap. And bc we have sent her receipts, and will have proof, she will be ordered to pay. We will probably play it by ear depending on how much things start being. Not that I ever expect her to pay a cent.
Damn, seriously? Thats
Damn, seriously? Thats ridiculous. At this point wtf can you do with 2.75 a week with a kid.
2.75. SMH. It probably costs more than that to get the money to her.
Im still dumbfounded. 2.75.
I couldn't be more with you.
I couldn't be more with you. It's absurd. But our state uses this cute little worksheet for child support. (the state most of my family lives in simply takes a percentage of the NCPs income) it puts each parents number of days spent with the child, each parents income, you get a few "credits" for insurance, residential parent status etc. we have the skids. We are the residential and primary parents. (well DH is but yeah). We have them Sun-thurs every week during school. She has them 3/4 Friday night and Saturday nights a month. EOW in summer. BUUUUUUT bc she makes so "little" (judge used last paycheck stub in April and took their YTD gross and multiplied by 3 for their yearly instead of last years taxes. Idk how the fuck that makes sense but the judge says what goes. She ADMITTED she has only been working PT but will soon be FT an admitted she works barge ding "sometimes" (every weekend at a very popular downtown bar in our college town!!. Judge didn't care ab the PT/FT thing and added 50$/month to her income for her "tips"...she makes probably 1/4 that a NIGHT probably) DH made approximately 9 times what she did. Even WITH every credit possible on this stupid worksheet she still gets 11/month. You're right. What can you do with 2.75/week with a child? Not a damn thing. Which is exactly what she will continue to do. BAU, I suppose.
I'm all for sending her the
I'm all for sending her the check every month, and attach the bills to it. Then she can never deny not receiving the bills, since she will most likely be cashing the checks.....
You might want to see if
You might want to see if there is an exception clause. Florida has one, if CS is less than $75 a month and the person paying is the CP- the amount of CS is negated. Not everyone is aware of that law. But one of my employees had his negated, he has full custody of the child but was ordered to pay the child's mother $50 a month, his attorney found the clause and he pays nothing.
