O/T Awesomeson's Group Photo for his Squad in the Air Force is IN
And of course posted on the AF Basic Training site on FB. Good looking group of recruits!!! And I couldn't be prouder!! I vascilated as to whether or not to show GG. I did send him the pic via email; I'm sure he'll have something derogatory to say!!!

Here's the thing: GG WAS in the Army voluntarily during the Gulf war. Stationed in Georgia and never saw combat but the thinks he's king turd on shit island. He has to "one up" everything that is going on. How horrible it is that the military has a FB page; how when he was in the services it was REAAAALLLLLY tough; not like it is now, blah blah. And of course I am a native Canadian but came to the states by choice and am a citizen now. And he finds that to pick on as well. Grasping at straws b/c his kids are going to turn out to be in a uniform-- a JAIL uniform that is!
I'll know who to contact if I have questions re the graduation at the end of this month!!

Totally agree. And the standards as far as scholastically have changed. Used to be tha the military took high school drop outs (like GG) no more. Today's GED crop are usually those coddled brats who did a round of drugs or got preggers at 15 (sounds familiar--like your classic entitled skid, eh?) Back in the day the GED was out of necessity because of the draft or having to work on the farm or support your family.
GG couldnt' believe all the new requirements and thought Awesomeson was lying and stalling about it!!
