What does SD18 have against my bathroom?
Now I know I did the right thing about putting up a fight about her staying with us this summer. She was here for one hour and poured shampoo all over the tub. Just left the bottle turned on it's side. I know it couldn't have been an accident, because it was the small bottle in the gift set that was there for decoration. She purpously destroyed the display. There is tons on shampoo in the shower already. In the past. she has wrapped her hair around the poles - why would she pull out a chunk of her own hair - it can't get caught on the pole opposite the spout! She has covered the tub with an inch of sand and has just been a general slop. DH just tells her to clean up - she doesn't. So glad to know that she came here with an attitude and now is not here. When will DH see how calculating she is?

At 18 I had a job and friends, the last thing I ever wanted to do was be home with my parents. Is there a reason she had to spend the summer with you? Its not like she's under age and has to follow a court order.
She'll one day have her own place and you can give her a sand and shampoo house warming gift in her tub. Not that stooping down to her level is acceptable but I bet it'd feel good to pay her back for the drama she's caused.
No legal visitation - not
No legal visitation - not since BM left the state - DH did nothing. SD was supposed to come in with her mom - BM put her on a plane a week early. Now they are together - they can keep each other: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. SD learned manipulation from a master. Not in my house anymore. Should I tell you about the time she set places for everyone but me for a holiday dinner - IN MY HOUSE!!!

She did it to be spiteful. And you're right the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Just be glad she only came for the summer and doesn't live w/you full time or you'd really get a taste of manipulation. Count your blessings.
My SD (27) lives w/us (long story). She used to floss her teeth on the mirror on our bathroom door and leave it there. When I showed it to DH, he was disgusted too. We talked to her about it, but she did it over and over again. . because she thought it was funny. But it was a reflection on how petty and childish she is . .traits she picked up from BM.
