Bugs, Bugs, go away so my SDs can play!

Does any one out there have anything that may help with my SD5? She is scared to death of bugs. SD6 is too, but not like SD5. Just a brief on the bug issue. When SD5 was 2 she was visiting her BM and was not watched closely, got into an ant bed and when we arrived to pick them up from their weekend stay her foot and leg were so swollen that she could not bend her knee nor wear a shoe. We took her to the doctor bc we were worried bc they were fire ants and they were all festered. They tried to count the un-popped bites and it was over 100. CPS got involved but that's a different story. So that being said I can understand to some degree when it comes to ants, but all bug? Come on, lady bugs, moths and even butterflies, caterpillars too. Any type, if its a bug she screams like she is dying and cries till someone gets her. The bug can be feet away or even yards away (small exaggeration), if she can see it, it is too close so plug your ears. What can anyone suggest? BC I am lost on this one too and my ears can't take anymore death screams, and I'm sure my neighbors think I'm beating her with the way she screams and cries.

We have tried the "bugs are more scared of u" and the "bugs are our friends" and talk about how they help us i.e. honey, eat bad bugs, dirt dobbers fill holes , and mosquito hawks eat mosquitoes. Nothing works. We have told her bees and wasps don't want to sting us bc they will die once they sting and they don't want to die. I'm gonna try the magic spray. Thanks!

At 15, DH's daughter is terrified of fluttery things....which include birds, moths, bees and butterflies.

Funnily enough, her mother allowed her younger sisters to get a parakeet. Smile Did you know parakeets can sense fear? }:)
