Does anyone else?

Does anyone out there know if it's a normal right of passage that kids go though where they feel like they have to be right about EVERYTHING?????? My SD9 has been so argumentative about everything lately and I don't know why. I don't know if it's bc I'm noticing it more or if I'm pissy and everything she does bothers me. I'm talking for example something as simple as I say white she says black. She argued with me about what we had for dinner last night! She knew what we had and still said something else. I know better than to argue with a child so I drop it but seriously...I have no patience for a child who isn't mine and lives w us 24/7!!!

My SS17 used to in a round about way let us know how stupid me and DH were compared to how smart he was - until something happened and he reached out to us to help him because he did not know what to - also when we saw him at Christmas he said something and my DD5 told him he was wrong and he said "Listen DD I have been on this earth for 17 years so I am sure I know what I am talking about" DH and I started cracking up and I turned to him and said "How does it feel that someone younger than you thinks you are stupid and they are smart - I think he finally got it but he still thinks he is smarter than us!!!!
