Where have I been?

Sorry for my somewhat extended absence. I have been busy closing on a new house, moving, unpacking, setting up the home, getting all of the utilities turned on, etc..... My bride has been the one to do these types of things until now. She recently started with a new firm and I have been in Houston for several months before she got here so this time it is all on me to get everything turned on at the house.

Not to mention work. With the economy there has been much drama regarding who owns what part of the organization I belong to and manage part of. I just picked up a couple of critical projects that are significantly behind on schedule. So, off to Asia I go on a regular basis for the next several months. It also looks like I will not have staff to pick up the administrative tasks that my organization is responsible for until Q1 so I am not my own admin assistant as well as my own department. A department of one ..... me.

Which is Okay, it gets me reacquainted with reports and detail information that I have been spoiled in not having to deal with directly for the past 5yrs. However, I will be glad to get back to managing a larger organization so I can keep up with my Stalking. Wink

I will attempt to stay an active participant but it will be limited to the occasional evening and weekends.

I have to say, much to my surprise, I have learned that I do have an addictive type personality. Stalking is my substance of choice to abuse I guess.

Best regards,

You've been missed! I thought maybe you were hanging out in the dog-house after the "SS has to leave" comment to DW. Wink

Glad to hear all is well and that you're staying busy. Smile

The Houston area is good, the house is beautiful, the kid is now the most popular prospect for local Armed Forces recruiters to the point that the Marines and Army actually send a car to pick him up for meetings with the recruiters since he is too damned lazy to get a drivers license and we don't have a third car for him to drive.

Things are great between my bride and I though there have been some tense incidents with the kid. His mom and I are both nearing the end of our rope with his lazy crap and his new found addiction to texting with all of his HS friends that are now all in college. I actually took his phone on Monday and told him that if he was texting when he was supposed to be working on his future, household chores or during a meal that I would throw his phone in the lake.

I bought the phone, I pay for the plan, I can throw the damned phone in the lake if he is not doing what I think he should be doing when I think he should be doing it. DEAL WITH IT KID!!!

That said, we are all having a good time with the move, new jobs and the kid's improving prospects.

Best regards,
