I'm not really sure where to start. So, I guess I'll start by introducing myself. Im Liss i'm a wife to a very wonderful man and a mother to the most awesome son and I am the step mother to my husbands two children that also live in our home due to my husband getting full custody 6 years ago. I found this website when I was looking for advice on how to cope with some of the negative behavior that I'm dealing with from my steps. Needing a lot of advice.

hello Liss, I am very excited for you as I am a new member, just yesterday and once you start reading all these wonderful people's blogs you will realise you are not alone. You really can get the best advice and great support from members here and I'm sure you will start to feel a bit better about your situation and yourself. The biggest thing I was shown yesterday was about 'Disengagement'. You can find it on this website, it literally changed my life when i was reading it.

I have been speaking to so many poeple and reading almost every blog there is on here and so many times you will be thinking you are reading about yourself. I'd have a look through the blogs here and read other peoples' situations and reply to them with what's going on in your life. I got an almost instant response to my first blog yesterday and I was almost in tears at how kind and understanding the other step parents are on here. If you elaborate on your troubles here, people will get back to you. this really is the first step to getting your sanity back. Hairy hugs from the UK xxx
