So, guess who got a new vehicle & cell phone yesterday?
If you guessed BM, you are correct. Now, how she obtained these things without having a job, I don't know. Hopefully her (soon to be ex)H didn't buy them for her, considering she is leaving him and moving somewhere else soon. She informed us that she would be moving closer into town soon. (She has had her last name changed and marital status taken off of her Facebook for two months or so now.) I wonder where she is moving to?
DH & I discussed it for a minute or two tonight. IMO, BM already has another man lined up that she has been keeping on the side. She will move herself and four kids in with him when she leaves this one. It's a pattern really. (See other post - Feel Bad For Skids & Skids Siblings) She said that she would not be moving in with relatives that live in that area, so that's not the case. & I really don't see how she is going to pay rent or mortgage without a job. So that's out of the question. But, she's always on the hunt for some man to take care of her and her kids.
Shit pisses me off. Get a damn job & take responsibility for yourself. How do you not work, but you are still able to go out with friends, buy a car, buy a phone, go eat, drive 30 miles into town & back, buy yourself new clothes? Oh, I know how! You mooch off of other people & use other people, too.
I despise bad character.
Just needed to rant it out.. get it all typed out of my head before I go to sleep!

OMG!!! We have the same BM
OMG!!! We have the same BM probs, and you are my new favorite person on here! Tonight I even went so far as to report her to the state licensing board that she is practicing cosmetology in her home without a license. She does this in lieu of getting a real job cuz last time she did that it was too hard and it wasn't fair that we got to see the kids so much while she worked. I'm not a cosmetologist, but I am a licensed professional, and as one I am offended at the idea that someone can skip out on training/schooling and paying for a license while the rest of us obey the rules. I hope the big fat fine she gets taps into her shoe buying budget somehow. I'm sure her daddy won't be happy when she asks for more money for this one.

Yeah.. I hear that! My brother-in-law is a licensed hair dresser, & he would be outraged by someone taking his prospective clients without having done everything he's done to get where he's at!
What gets me about the whole scenario is this:
BM is almost 10 years older than me with 4 kids (2 of which are my skids). She doesn't work. She doesn't enroll my skids in a daycare (& don't tell me she doesn't have the money with all the shit she just got) - (I am big on daycare, because the skids enjoy it & it teaches them social skills and other important tools at a young age, so they don't go into Kindergarten behind everyone else), she's jumped from man to man the whole time that I have known her..
Meanwhile, I'm working two jobs, taking the kids to and from daycare every day, taking them to do something out of the house at LEAST twice a week, working with them on manners & learning basic things & respect, actually watching them when they are with me (opposed to letting them run around the house or telling them to just go play in their room), enforcing (fair) punishment, taking them to doctors appointments (opposed to not going because I "don't feel like driving that far today"), & trying to show them what a stable family structure actually looks like.
It just amazes me how a BM can put herself before her children all the time & not really worry about the impact that they are having on their little lives..

I just have a real problem with people going through the checkout at the grocery store in Jimmy Choos and then handing the cashier their food stamp card. She is one of these people.

WHY ARE SO MANY OF THESE PATHETIC BM'S NOT WORKING TO SUPPORT THEIR CHILDREN??? Why is this allowed legally? Why aren't the courts & the legal system doing something to change this immediately???
I can't speak for ALL the men out there, but I think if they actually became ACTIVE and DID something to have these laws changed (CS$$) instead of just burying their heads in the sand, things would change!!
If I had a lazy, selfish BM that I was FORCED to pay massive CS$$ to (due to state laws I live in), while BM just sat home unemployed (or purposely underemploying herself or "wasting time" with the online degree program crap), I would be making a BEELINE to EVERY STATE & LOCAL LEGISLATOR I could until a bill was passed into LAW changing this CLEAR INJUSTICE!!!
Can anyone out there (BM or SM) kindly explain to the rest of us why this EMBEZZLEMENT/ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM (massive CS$$ that BM's are living off of & not working) is acceptable in their opinions??

Last weekend the skids went to BM's and SS7 comes back Monday and says I got a new dirtbike. BM sent a picture of him to DH's phone Saturday with SS7 riding a little motorbike that I'm sure set someone back a minimum of a couple hundred bucks.
You have no idea how hard it was for me to bite my tongue and not say, "Wow, that's so awesome sweetie. If we didn't have to pay for all our own groceries and taxes so your mom can get a free ride, you could be riding one of those here!"

Exactly! I'm one of those people that has filter issues and hasn't mastered the skill of restraint when I am in situations like this. I avoid interaction with her at all costs, because at some point I'm gonna say something just like that to her face. Thusfar, I don't think anything I've said to the kids to this effect has been either heard or understand. Its gonna be harder as they get older though cuz I'm not much of an actress and I'm afraid my contempt for her is gonna be way too obvious to miss.

Yet instead of actually WORKING FULL-TIME to support HER children, she sits at home on every social networking site imaginable using 5-10 different screennames (probably 1 for each of her personalities), role-playing on vampire & witch sites, etc...
Even when my FSS13 was younger, he used to actually TELL me about conversations like this between him and BM:
