SS left with his baby without telling us :(

This may be the last posting I put for a while now. Me and my husband came home from a friend's house last night to find SS's room empty and the baby's stuff missing as well. On our door he put a note saying he moved out. He doesnt want to tell us where he moved to in the city because he does not want others to find out. He said he would contact us in a few weeks by email. He changed his cell number, we tried calling many times. He thanked us for everything and stapled a check for $5000 to the note. My husband is in his room crying and I am sobbing because I wont be able to see my granddaughter anymore and I do not know how she is. I have become very attached to her and I dont know how I am going to deal with it. I hope they are safe. I know SS would have planned it properly but I am still really worried. How could he be so selfish? And SS is legally emancipated, we cannot do anything. Please pray for my stepson and his daughter. And I hope the bitch ex-wife goes to hell for what she put us through.

Reading back over your blogs it sounds like this boy needs some space to think and breathe. His arsehole of a mother is making his life hell and he wants to protect his daughter from her craziness and the ONLY thing he could think of is to hide out.

Look, he will be back, I know it. Right now it is sad and unsettling but this is the time for him to show his true colours. Just give him space and time and when he can think clearly he will come back and visit.

I know when my daughter moved out with our grand daughter I was so sad. DH and I clung to each other for a month because we expected to see them appear. And they moved out with our help and blessing and live 6 miles away!

Move on with your lives. If BM shows up you can tell her the truth, no you don't know where he is, now get off my property you troll before I call the police.

As you said, he is emancipated and she cannot do anything.

I bet he is in touch via hotmail in about 12 days.
