Okay, so I've talked about how my skids smell whenever they come from BM's.....

It's their clothes and hair.

Well, last night, the skids tell me that they can no longer do laundry at BM's because the water turns their white clothes - BROWN.

And yet, they're still showering there....

ugh :jawdrop:

Sadly, there may not be anything she can do. I have to say that where I lived a few years ago, we had a beautiful house...the darn water company was horrendous. Many days that I would put my clothes in the washer and come back to find the water looking dirty and I would have to redo everything. Not much I could do really, as I could not afford an expensive water filtration system, etc...which honestly, not sure how much that would have helped.

Where does she live?

She has a well. We live in Ohio. Last week, something happened and they had NO water for a couple days. BM's dad and some of his buddies "fixed" it, but now the water is brown. Maybe it will take a little while for the "brown" to leave? I don't know. All I know is - SD12 borrowed an NFL football jersey of mine for school, and she brought it back last night - it was washed (very wrinkled), and it smelled. That's when the skids told us that they can wash "dark" colors, but no whites. (the jersey is being washed right now)

I know there's nothing we can do about it, it just seems like common sense to not take showers in that water. They've been going to BM's dad's house to do laundry - they could shower there also.

Document it. Take pictures, write it down in a calendar. Maybe its nothing, but if it ever turns out that it was something, you will have it documented. It'll also help you stress about it less, knowing that you have done everything that you can about it for the moment. Also, make sure they take a shower the moment they get home.
