Oh, for crying out loud, DH

Today is my anniversary.  DH and I are headed to Chicago Thursday for a long weekend.  I loved living there and wish I had never left, but now that Thing1 is there, I have a good reason to return to my old stomping grounds.

I was mentioning to DH this morning that I really want to see Hamilton while we are there.  Even though it's coming to Detroit soon, the only way to get tickets is to purchase the season, and I am just not that crazy about the upcoming season, other than Hamilton.

I found some decent tickets that weren't super crazy expensive and texted DH -

Me - found a theater layout with seat views.  These are actually right on the cusp of "limited view."  I think I will buy them.  What do you think?

DH - Okay.  BabyVoice will be heartbroken, though.

Me - I am not going to skip this because she will be mad that we went.  Seriously?  You and she can try to find single tickets when it comes to Detroit

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE - PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS WILL BE MAD SO WE BETTER NOT DO SOMETHING??  F*ck that shit.

Rant over.

Today is my anniversary, too! Happy anniversary to you. Does skid need to know you went? Are you going to post it on social media or something? He absolutely can take her in Detroit.

I don't think she needs to know, and she's not on social media.  I hope this is his one and only "ooooohhhhh, BabyVoice" comment or it's gonna be a loooooooooooooooong weekend for DH Smile

Happy anniversary to you and Mr. Dogs!!

Happy Anniversarry! Just tell him you can go celebrate your anniversary alone if he's going to try and include the skid in all the decisions... lol

Because bs.and my dh have similar interests often times when bs hears about something we do w/o him he will sa y he wished we would have waited/ taken him too. We always tell him he does plenty of fun things with his dad and that husband's and wives need time alone. Sometimes we threaten that when he starts dating we are gonna tag along.

I am lucky that my husband and son genuinely enjoy each other and are respectful to each other. Sometimes I think they would rather leave me at home and go together.

I hope he is smart enough to remember you are hi s priority this week.

My 9 year old daughter loves Hamilton, it’s been her obsession for a while now.  I honestly wouldn’t go see it without her, I’d feel too bad.

you would feel bad?  Kids don't always get to do the things that their parents do.

When she can pony up over $200 for the ticket, then she can go Smile
