can i get a break from skids ever??

Me and SO have a 14month old together and his boys are 9 and 14. Live with us full time. I never get a break. SOs parents never offer and when I ask they say only for a couple hours. All I want is one day and night when they are gone. They have a lot of family members but nobody offers help ever. My parents have offered to watch my baby on Friday nights so I can go out with friends and relax after a long work week. They also keep him overnight so I can sleep in on Saturday. They love spending time with their grandson
Why can't SOs.parents or the skids family from their BMs side ever offer any help ???!!!! ? I need more of a break from skids than my baby .

SO helps out though, right? I am guessing BM is not in the picture, I would have thought that grand parents would want to enjoy time with the kids, all three!? I would get SO to reach some sort of agreement whereby he takes care of the two older ones while your parents have the baby. You really sound like just a day off would help enormously.

Yes, I agree that you need time off from the skids. Your DH should definitely be taking care of them for you to have some space. Good luck.
