MIL says skids are sick

Ok so serious question. How can you really tell if someone has munchausins syndrome? Because seriously I think my MIL might be trying to make my step kids sick when they are with her for attention. For example after spending 1 night with her somehow my SD "developed an extremely bad cough and a fever" and she had to give her all this medicine. (Her words) and my SS ended up with an extremely upset stomach with vomiting and diareah. Now SD has a slight cough thanks to living in the south during pollen season. And the supposed fever was 99.0 to which I had to say she can get her tell up .3 degrees just by running around the house 3 times. As for SS we figured out why he was sick to his stomach when we started questioning what she had let him eat. 3 ears of corn and nothing else. Who lets a kid just chow down on a ton of corn without offering other food? I know we don't at home so I'm figuring that's why his belly was so torn up because when he got up this morning he was fine and ready to go to school as was my SD as well.

I swear she is just trying to get attention because she loves for people to ask how are the kids so she can go into this long drawn out explanation of how sick they were last weekend (while telling them she is the sole caretaker of the kids)

Does MIL have custody rights via a CO?

If not, why do you continue to give her access to skids? I have read a few of your posts, and each visit appears to be more of a detriment to skids then helpful.

My advise would be to limit her access, if possible. And if it is your DH that is allowing access and condoning the behavior, then step out of it and disengage. Sadly, in that instance, even if you scream it from the rooftops it won't make a difference.

Yes unfortunantly she does currently have rights from a court order. We are in the process of having those rights removed so we can not totally stop her from seeing the kids yet. And we have honestly started greatly limiting her visits which has caused other issues to come up like her trying to cause trouble between me and FDH which has not worked.

For example today SS8 went to school and told his teacher he had thrown up the evening before so they sent him home based on a 24 hour throw up free rule they have..... Idk he is perfectly fine and running around like a wild Indian but its the rules. Normally MIL would have gotten the phone call to come get him due to her constantly going to school and throwing her old court papers in their faces. Since the judge wouldn't renew her papers this time though she cant pull as much sway with them. So FDH got the call and he asked if I could pick SS up. Not a problem especially if it means SS doesnt go back to MILs where he got sick in the first place.
