I Wish All Those With Impending Cash Grab Skids

Much luck and low anxiety.   I thank heavens Chef's horrid ferrals are PASed out and that his relatives don't bother coming over (unless they want something).

We are having a lovely, peaceful Christmas gift exchange tomorrow at AwesomeDIL and DGD 2.5's tomorrow.

The haul is going to be extra huge for Little Idiot this year...

let's see... round trip plane tickets were like $150, $300 in gifts from Daddy, another $200-$300 I'm sure she will snag at the gift exchange/my mother's house.

I tried to tell mom that at 23.5 she gets MORE than enough and she acted like I turned green and sprouted grinch fur. Sigh. I guess her memory is short when it comes to the hell Little Idiot put me through a few years ago and she "feels sorry for her" (eyeroll) like she would have ever let me get away with half of what LI has done. I hate the holidays but I need to just shut my mouth.

I wonder if the topic on how her classes are going and when she is supposed to graduate will come up. Seeing her squirm (and maybe your husband too), might make it almost padsable for enjoyable.

Hmmm well I doubt DH will bring it up. (He would just as soon everyone bury their heads in the sand and we all pretend the emperor is still wearing her clothes)

Someone on DH's family might bring it up... we are meeting them for dinner next Saturday.... but honestly I doubt she would even squirm. The lie "oh, it's going good. I don't know when I'm going to graduate though because I need to still get into this one lab..." would roll pretty smoothly off her tongue and I have yet to see any evidence that she is capable of feeling guilt for lying...

My mom knows what's going on, but she's too polite to bring it up. Plus apparently she feels "sorry for her" so I doubt she will say anything. Of course, when I was in college they were on me every semester like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm (credit: Major Payne).

Yes, my kids and SKs have the cash grab but it could be worse, I could still be shopping for all these people.  Ugh.

Yeah I was horrified with this Disneyland dads idea of splurging on these needy demanding entitled skids ... buying them new AirPods and expensive sneakers.

And my gift .... some 4 for $4 lotion at Bath and Body Works and some clearance sneakers. And the gift he got my daughter was even less.

I'm halfway kidding - I don't know exactly how much my gift was but I assume it was way less so that he had more to fork over for his money hungry kids.

Ugh

Glad I don't have to deal with that ... my freedom is the best gift. Not about to sit up here and constantly allow this dude to put me 20th place.

Saw what he was spending on his kids compared to

everyone else so I got all them Temu Treasures $5.99 or less

those golddigging skids can stake their claim on their little image pedestal whilst demanding the latest priciest electronics they haven't earned and will probably destroy before year ends.
