New CS laws coming...
Did anyone see the new CS laws that will be take effect starting September 2018? It states that CS will be increased automatically and that dental will now be a requirement. Maybe this is just in my state???

Child support is a state
Child support is a state issue, therefore, yes, it is just your state.

When SO was paying DBDB got a "raise" every year. Usually only 3% but it was increased automatically.
3% still adds up! Some people
3% still adds up! Some people are paying out of their arses already! Why do they need a raise yearly?!?!

Are you in Texas? Because I saw that the courts can modify it if the parties had agreed to something outside standards in a few circumstances.. but it didn't seem to be an automatic set increase.

What if dad can't afford
What if dad can't afford dental? Does the dental bus count as dental care if he takes them to it?
I wish it were handled
I wish it were handled automatically through the state/government here. We might have had a whole lot less trouble from BM if it was. The CO states that the amount has to have a yearly increase by xxx per cent according to the index every year. BM does not do this and is paying only the original amount set almost 10 years ago. The CS is a paltry amount so it's not worth DH persuing it and of course BM knows this. Makes me sick over the principle of it and her knowing that she is getting away with it but it's not a hill to die on. Just gets my goat that the system needs to work against people like her not for her.
works like that over
works like that over here....
CO states starting point of CS and it's increased per year according to inflation, you have absolutely no say in the matter at all
I tried to look it up but
I tried to look it up but it's not in english of course so took me longer to decifer it, but yes it seems the only way around it is to go to a lawyer and start a process against her for it. No point in that as we will end up with the lawyers bill. She might have to pay costs as she is at fault but still we have to pay for our lawyer. The amount is not worth it. I remain irked by the whole thing though as does DH. The narc always wins.
Child Support laws here in
Child Support laws here in the states MUST be revised. Child Custody Laws should reflect the same changes.
Biting my lip!!
