oops, not feeding the prince enough?

My ss15 informed me yesterday that he is going to make his dad kick him out of the house so he can live at his friend's house b/c they feed him. I asked him if he wants me to go ahead and keep saving his suppers for him or will he be eating over there from now on? He said not to bother anymore. Then last evening he comes home with a box of mac & Cheese in his pocket and informed me his friend;s family had to go out and couldn't feed him so they sent him home with food. Hmm, really? So it's now their job to "feed him"? He acts like he's the prince around here and he acts like his nose is out of place b/c I am not cooking the kinds of food he likes. It used to be until about 4 months ago that SO cooked pretty much every meal and recently I am doing all the cooking and baking. Our jobs just flip flopped in hours so it worked that way. But now little prince is being neglected and not fed right and he's copped some serious attitude. Pisses me off, first ss18 imposes his attitude on me and now ss15. My boys are happy with my cooking and love my baking and always do chores and help me out in the yard. Never see ss15 anymore at all. He goes over to friend's house after school every day and all weekend even most nights. SO seems to not mind and just lets it happen like he'll outgrow it. I actually don't know why it bothers me b/c 2 years ago we couldn't get this kid off the xbox and out the door at all and he was ALWAYS under foot. Maybe I should just let it go and not fret. I guess those people will set their own bounderies if they need too. Not my problem so disengage? OK!! I'm talking in circles and answering myself. Wow, long day. ha

Children are always testing the waters. Have you thought about contacting the parents and get their input on the situation. They may be tired of him and do not want to hurt his feelings. If that is the case, then they need to say something to HRH. Maybe that will knock him off of his throne. If the parents sympathize with him, then how would they like it if he lived with them full time?? That will change their mind real quick.

Good luck
