SD already in trouble at new school on just 3rd day of school year
For those following my recent blog posts, I got a call this morning from SD15's new Christian school indicating she received demerits and an office referral because she failed to obey her teacher's instructions to sit at attention, not slouch in her seat, and keep her feet under her desk.
When the teacher indicated SD would receive demerits if she didn't comply, she uttered "Oh My God", and that was considered using the Lord's name in an UnChristlike manner. The office called DH but got his voicemail so they called me.
Disrespectful SD15 throws tantrum trying on new uniform. I'm sorry. She doesn't have to like it, but she is going to wear it.
After weeks of arguing with SD15 about going to get her school uniform, I told her that I would just guess her sizes if she didn't come with me. She relented under protest. She's been freaking out because she thinks the uniform will "look stupid" compared to her normal clothes (skin tight flare pants, leggings, and crop tops) she wore to her previous school last year when she was living with BM. I told her she won't know how it will look until she tries it on, and no one is going to care what she's wearing when everyone is wearing the same thing.

SD sees the Christian school as punishment. It's a huge hurdle in working towards establishing any kind of trust or cooperation with her. But her father sees it as a last chance effort to put her in a more protective supervised environment where she can turn her academics around.
