Does anybody know the rule/law on this?
I have a friend who has a 16 yr old daughter in OH that lives with her dad. Dad has a wife that has 2 kids. One of the kids is away at juvenile and the other is a 17 year old boy. Dad works for GM and is losing job and having to downsize to a smaller living space. My friends daughter told her that her dad and them were moving into a 2 bedroom apartment. My friend of course says whoa whoa where are you sleeping and where is the 17 year old step brother sleeping if dad and wife have one room.
So does anybody know the law in OH about the sleeping arrangements of kids that old?

I'm in Ohio
I will see what I can find out. I do think that in most states technically you are supposed to have a designated bedroom for your kid, and though two step sibs of the same gender could certainly share, step sibs of different genders will not.
All that being said, when we have gone on road trips or vacations, all our kids share a room without any issues. But they've been step sibs for 5 years, since they were 9 and younger, so they really feel like bio sibs in many ways.
I would say that dad needs a 3 bedroom apt if the children all live there full time.
How did her daughter answer the question?
"To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?" ~Hamlet Act III scene I
I believe in OH
Girls have to have their own separate room.
