And this week SS asks for an iPod

Quick recap of what SS has come home and asked for each week since school started 4 weeks ago:

Internet in his room
Cell phone
Ps3 with Internet and grand theft auto game
His tablet to get fixed
New shoes, back pack and jacket

And now...

He wants an iPod so he can FaceTime with his friends. And he still wants Internet in his room.

Want to know what my kids have asked for? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Wow, that goes to show how certain parenting can turn kids into overly entitled kids. That's insane. My Ss is 5 and don't get me wrong he is a sweet kid but I know Bm caters to him like he's the king and so does MIL so I can see this behavior, thankfully Dh gets on him about. It does still worry me for the the future though.

Yes. Bm ran out on SS and dh when SS was about 5 and dh and the rest of the family always felt bad for him and tried to shower him with clothing and video games to make up for Not having a mom.

Dh now sees what a mistake that was.

Is this the kid who pees in bottles? How about instead of investing in that fancy stuff for him-you guys get him a night light so he's not frightened to go to the toliet or a porta potty in his room, or some adult diapers.

This is such a great idea in general. I think I'm going to run it by both dd12 and ss13 and see who's game.
