BM not concerned about issues with SS

I would like to think that I am a very bright person, but truth be told I am probably of average intelligence. But when as the color red ever been a good thing?

SS7 has a note book that he brings home every day from school lately we have noticed marks in his book with the following colors - Green, Yellow and Red. This has picked up since the Parent teacher conference where the teacher told both DH and BM that SS7 is having issues paying attention.

On our week there was one Red and one Yellow. DH asked SS7 what the color meant of of course he didn't know. SS7 also lost his shoes that week.

This week BM dropped SS off and DH checked him bag and found that last week SS had 2 red marks and one yellow. one day had a note that said SS7 did not do his work in class so she was send it home as home work. DH called BM to asked her about it and She told him that she didn't know what the marks meant so she didn't worry about it. She also told DH that he would have to reschedule SS7 therapy meeting (which she did understand why he needed to go to any way) because they had a wedding to go to, in a city about 30 mins away. His appt is Friday at 3 PM. Seriously she couldn't wait to leave for that wedding at 4?

So we looked it up in our hand book that I scanned and sent to BM at the beginning of school. Green is where each child starts the day, yellow mean he got a warning, and red means he continues to do whatever it was. too many red and he will get written up and sent to the principles office, a parent will be called, probably BM and nothing will ever come of it.

DH is ready to admit there is a problem and told BM maybe it was time to see a doctor to see what their options are. He also told BM that from now on there will be a punishment for SS7. BM objected until DH explained. A red mark mean no video games, a yellow mark means only 30 mins of video games (instead of the usual hour). Forget stuff at school mean no TV or friends over. Shoes aren't cheap!

The doc wanted to test ss7 for autism but BM wouldn't let them. Ss5 has been diagnosed with it. I think the teacher suspects he has something but until we can get BM to agree to test him we won't know officially what we r dealing with.
