Too lazy to even make a Christmas wish list
Weeks ago DH and I both asked all the kids to write down their wish lists. SD15 only wrote down 3 things (ok whatever). This weekend the topic comes up and she asks if we got her Christmas list from BM. DH tells her of course not, and reminds her we asked her to write a list. She replies that BM knows what she wants for Christmas and she thought we would just get the list from her. She didn't want to have to think about it and write it all down.
So last night she says she has something she is really wanting to add to her list. Ok, the list is still hanging on the fridge. She walks over to it and then says, "Nevermind, I can't find a pen." We keep a few pens about 10 feet away.
She will never make it though life if she can't even put a little effort into the things she wants.

I'd stick to her list. She put down 3 things, if reasonable only get those 3 things. If all 3 are impossible (I want a pony, a trip to vagus, and a $2000 computer) she gets nothing. She's 15 so there is no Santa anymore to leave her disappointed. It will be on her alone for not having anything. "Well dear we asked and you never told us so what are we suppose to do. Just like we don't make you send messages to BM you shouldn't expect BM to send us your messages."

A few years ago a guy friend asked his kids to give him a list. He asked them every few days. Not one kid gave him a list.
Him and his wife did buy them presents, all clothes, toothbrushes, etc. You know the stuff that falls under needs. They wrapped them but hid them in the trunks of their cars.
when the kids got up in the morning and saw no gifts you can imagine how upset they were. Guy didn't give them their gifts until after breakfast and they were even more disappointed that there were not "real" gifts as they called them.
They now get the lists within a few days of asking
I'd get her a gym membership.
I'd get her a gym membership. She obviously needs some serious motivation!

That’s funny! We do have a family gym membership that she never uses. I took all the kids snow tubing this past weekend. Our town doesn’t really get snow so the town makes a special tubing course during the holidays. The first time SD15 went down she loved it. Then she realized you have to carry the tube back up the stairs (it’s not that hard. Bd10 did it with no problem). She went 2 more times and quit. So about 10 minutes total out of a 2 hour time slot.

Get her the things on her list.....
Maybe next year she may put down a few more things.
Hopefully she didn't write down a BRAND NEW CAR with 3 years car insurance paid for by SANTA
Oh don't forget I bet her dad will want to go shopping for everything on her list.
We are finished shopping, but
We are finished shopping, but now I wish we would have stuck to the list. Her request for tall socks, a camo sweatshirt, and onesies would have saved us a ton of money.

My SO goes through this every year with his kids (22, 20 and 14). They never tell him anything, so my response is "clearly they have everything they need and want for nothing, so you don't have to get them anything." I think the older 2 (boys) are uncomfortable asking for anything at this age, so they typically just get cash. the 14 year old girl gets everything and anything when she wants it so she never has to wait for anything. It's Christmas year round...
My skids are the same. SS
My skids are the same. SS told us he wants a top hat :? and eggnog. The kid is weird.
SD11 didn't understand the
SD11 didn't understand the point of a list this year.
So she didn't get us one by when I told her we needed it, and we just got some things she think she'll like. Otherwise, she's out of luck.
