It was an actual dinner theater he took all of us to. So we got to watch a play/dance/muscial while eating. (Still am not entirely sure what the play was about. It was one of those 'new age' ones that make you think until you have a headache.)

We dropped the kids at home (my house) and went out with some friends. SO gets a little tipsy and heads up to the Karyoke machine. And he (terminally caucasion man) starts attempting to belt out a few songs that

1) He does not have the voice for
2) He does not have the rythm or rhyme for
3) No irish man ever could ever have the above for.

Imagine Barry White trying to sing an opera aria. Now you get the idea of how it sounded: myself and the friends were all laughing til we near cried.

Song changes and yes, he is in front of me with the microphone singing some song whose lyrics were "Lets get Married". SO is now FDH. Ring is a sapphire surrounded by diamonds. (Thanks for the heads up DD!)

The sweet part? When I said yes and the cheers started I can hear a few 'familiar' cheers. Turn around and there are his parents, with all three kids who came to "watch". Stbmil and stbfil kept the kids for the rest of the night
