7 years ago today my SS-25 shipped out for USAF BMT.
How time flies.
He is now a Staff Sgt, serving in Germany and a man of character that I am proud to have as my son.
Being his dad has been a life changing experience for me. That does not mean that I have some soul wrenching connection with being his father. That is not how I am wired and not how our relationship works. I am his dad, he is my son, we respect each other, I give him crap, he responds, it works.
He will be 26 is a few months, time marches on and I remain... his dad.

My husband really loved his
My husband really loved his career in the USAF. They get to visit so many places around the world. We went from Hurlburt Field to Eglin AFB...shortest PCS in the world, but DH was in Japan and Kuwait several years before we married.
Both of our boys wanted to follow in his footsteps, but the youngest can't due to his ear problem. Oldest is still considering it.
Good job, Staff Sgt! And good job Rags and the Mrs. Y'all have raised a fine airman.
So nice to be proud isn't it?
