GAH! WTF is wrong with me?

I'm home alone right now because FDH is away for business and I work crazy hours so skids got shipped off to BM's.

First time I've been alone in this house. My exH traveled all of the time for business, and I loved it when he was away. I had ME time. I was looking forward to this trip, even though I knew I'd miss FDH, because I'd get some quality me, myself and I time.

What is surprising to me - I miss the frigging skids! WTF is wrong with me? The house is actually quiet and neat.... Gah...... they make me laugh though, and skid1 is developing quite the sense of witty humor. Skid2 is naturally very funny and smart - I'm starting to realize how much I like having them around, even when they irritate the fuck out of me.

Man, I'm becoming such a sap.

OP, BIO kids are the same. You enjoy having them around, but they can irritate the fuck outta you! LOL.

If you get really bored, you can pick up gift cards and hide them in their rooms, and give them a note that says when they clean their rooms, they'll find them Smile

Naaaahhh, just means you've found a creative way to get clean rooms. }:)

LOL, once in awhile for grins and giggles I'll hide a $15 iTunes card or a $10 Subway card and tell them to go hunting. Such determination!

Wow, it's surprising to hear that it can be that way with the steps!! I def feel like this when my bio's are gone, I LOVE it when they go away, I NEED the me time, and I do miss them, but more then that, I feel lost and out of place when they're gone for a w/e, I find myself twiddling my thumbs, walking around the house looking for something to do lol. I think it's more to do with the fact that dealing with the chaotic household isn't just something I do, it's a part of who I AM, so when they're gone, I'm left having to discover "who else" I am when I'm not yelling at kids to pick up wet towels off the floor etc etc lol

hmmm... I definitely don't love it when my bios are gone. I actually enjoy having them around...even the PITA teenagers. Blum 3

Oh I love it for multiple reasons, main one being that my BS's don't have an active Dad in their lives, so when my brother calls to say he'll pick them up for the weekend, my boys end up being over the moon happy, makes them feel important and loved, so yeah, I love it too
