First he asked if he could drive my car as I needed a few things from the store. I told him no and explained to him about his accidents and tickets and how he reacted when I wouldn't let him drive home with no sleep. Surprisingly he agreed with me and said he was irresponsible and it will take time for me to trust him to drive my car. Holy Crap!!!

He aldo said he is saving up to buy himself a car and he is going to give back the one that his aunt gave him. He wants to have the accomplishment of getting it himself. Again holy Crap. He just might be growing up!

Then we started talking about the shooting and gun control. Now I must say ss17 is a huge gun person and loves hunting. However he was so upset about the shootings that he said we need better gun control and if that meant him having to go through a harder and longer process to make sure a gun doesn't get in the hands of these people he will do it.

Wow is all I can say. I have never been prouder of him then I was when we were talking. I am just grateful that my skids are as good as they are and understand that they aren't the only people in the world. I thought I was going to cry listening to him. He was mad and upset that all those kids died in that shooting.
