Seriously, what is wrong with these kids?

Week three of school. Both skids came home today with two Ns on their weekly behavior report. Now, an N is fairly serious. Three Ns in the same catagory in a semester ends up on the report card and stored in their permenent student file. You have to be pretty out of control to get an N.

So we get home and I send the skids to sit on their beds and think about their behavior. I change the baby and put dinner on the stove. Not 15 minutes later I head back to talk to them. Ss10 is playing with toys, and trying to use his pillow to block my view ofwhat he's doing. SD9 is chilling on her back, feet up on the wall, reading. Really guys?!? Can't follow instructions for 15 friggin minutes? They are already in trouble and still acting like little ass holes.

I was even going to let them off easy. Figured it was early in the year, and they were readjusting to the classroom rules ect..... Why must everything with these kids be pure torture? How hard is it to sit on a bed? And there was mo confusion over what was expected of them, I was very clear and firm.

I ended up having to have them stand in two corners of the kitchen while I cooked dinner since I can't even trust them to sit in their rooms. Then they went straight to bed after dinner.

I just don't know what to do with these kids anymore. It's like dealing with toddlers.
