The L Word
Question stepparents...
Does Your SO still tell his ex-wife/ex-husband that they love them? And not as a oh I love you and want to be with you and make things work out between us again. But as a thank you for everything you do for our kids, "love ya" kinda thing? So in other words..not a meaningful "I love you" but a "luv" kind of love. Make sense at all? Lol.

No, nope, no way in Hades.
"Love ya" indicates affection. Anyone who is tossing the L word around with their recent ex is not anyone who should be in another relationship.
Also
There a difference between a love you to family and friends. And some one who you had sex with.

Nope. Under no circumstances
Nope. Under no circumstances would SO say this. If he did, he would find himself looking for his balls in the trash can, where I put them after I cut them off. Even if SO and that psychopath actually got along, no way.

Hell no! That's beyond
Hell no! That's beyond inappropraite. If he still "luvs" her, maybe they ought to get back together.
DH would rather shave with a cheese grater and cook his head in a vat of boiling oil than say "luv ya" to SheBeast. Then dive into a pit of cobras.
