No one seems to be able to verify BM's employment- How can that be???

mrsparks's picture

She is giving out bogus numbers right and left, She receives a voucher for SS's daycare and she surely had to prove employment before she enrolled him into a goverment funded program. I am thinking that maybe she did have a job initially and may have lost it in the meantime.. I'm not sure.. Our attorney is going to subpoena her work records to see if they coincide with the odd hours she has been throwing SS into daycare..

Shouldn't employment verification be kinda easy?

She falsifies her tax returns because she is self employed. So anything is possible. She claims to make 13K a year.

We had our attorney pull her bank and mortgage records to verify her real income for CS reasons.

State are you in? I know in Florida we need to have six consecutive and curretn paystubs every 6 months in order to recieve services. The company I work for actually decides whether parents are eligible for subsidized daycare based on state standards.

I was thinking that too the documentation was needed as well to verify that you are currently employed while you are getting subsidized child care- I wonder if they even checked- I can't seem to find anything that tells me very much info

about Ohio but I know for fact that in Florida they either need those six weeks pay stubs OR if they just started a NEW job, an employment verification form filled out by the employer.

Is it possible she is forging the Employment Verification forms? Would she be that bold?

She is a mastermind manipulator!
I wouldn't put anything past her.
We just found out that when she was married years ago, she never took her husband's last name BECAUSE...
She was raking in his big money from his 9-5 and still getting all of her other school loans/government assistance etc. through the state by portraying that she was still a single mom..

sound sneaky but I wonder if someone should call Department of Human services and put a little bug in their ear. Say she isn't employed in a letter or phone call. You could do it annonymously and then they will look closer at her case.

** EDIT **

Falsifying on Government assisst paperwork is a pretty big deal. The girls BM failed to report unemployment (you have to be working at least 20 hours a week or be looking for employment through a Workforce program to recieve any services) and kept the kids in care so she could f*ck off during the day. She wound up busted and had to pay back the funds AND lost care. DH and myself were clueless that she had gotten fired from her job. We didn't find out till the girls got kicked out of daycare.

There is no resource abuse hotline or anything like that BUT if we had reasonable cause to investigate we would. Personally I would consider a "heads up" a reasonable cause.

Something is just very strange about the hours SS is in daycare as far as we knew, she had not had a job for months and then as soon as our court date approached, she miraculously had a job and SS was thrown into daycare..

We shall see.. Inpectress gadget is on it..

We are not allowed to know where BM works - according to her, it is none of our business! I think it is to cover unemployment and short term gigs too, there has been a lot of that I think. Because she has a bad attitude and can't keep her mouth shut, even to keep a job!

Yet she puts SD on DH as an informant every time he changes jobs, to make sure BM knows who to call and harass! and yes, she has at every one.

Now that he is unemployed and they are getting checks weekly instead of monthly from his unemployment, do you think SD would call to say, are you ok? oh hell no-!! poor innocent child-!!! She hasn't called him in months.
