Why do my kids have to suffer over this??

This is driving me out of my mind. First of all, BM has had SS in a certain activity for almost a year that conveniently interrupts and cancels out our visitation quite frequently. Now hes going on a "camping trip" (yes, in the middle of winter???) and will miss an entire weekend with us, particularly a weekend that I have had scheduled us to have a family picture taken for a month!!! Of course we cant ask him not to go, because he wants to go, that is if there is even a camping trip. He is constantly missing days and weekends with us because of activities with this organization.

SS mentions to BM in some form that she spends every night at the bar leaving him home with 3 younger stepsiblings, mentions that myself and my husband do not do that... Her response is as ingenious as she is. Apparently according to her, we do not go to the bar every night because "we have no friends". Ahhhh yes, how can one be as wise as she?? I must know. Because we certainly stay home due to lack of friends, and not because we have 3 children here to raise and care for. *sarcasm*.

Should I stay out of this??

I have been in my stepsons life since he was a baby. Im married to his dad and we have our own 2 daughters together. For 10 years I have been the best mom I can to this child. He has always confided in me everything. I dont pry, or ask him anything, he just tells me stuff, maybe because I keep it to myself for the most part. Things that I am hearing from him are beginning to trouble me. He is getting older now and the issues are getting bigger. Last year, he was 10. He told me that he was allowed to drink an entire beer while playing a video game with his Uncle at his BM's house.
