O/T How do you get into the spirit?
This morning I did my holiday basket delivery for work. In years past I'd take an old client of mine with me to drop them off but this year he couldn't come. He did however send me this year's playlist so he could be with me "in spirit" in his words.
As always, Larry the Cable Guy's Redneck Christmas song was first on the line up (he knows it makes me laugh) and is generally followed by hours of ungodly Celtic music that I hate. But I listened to the whole thing anyway because-you know.
What usually gets you in the mood to celebrate whatever holidays you celebrate?

After Thanksgiving I allow myself to "get in the mood". Decorating, gift shopping. I actually like being in the stores/mall and seeing the displays they have set up. That kind of puts me in the mood.
Some years I'm really in the mood and others I could care less.
My mom lives in my town now, so I am excited that she can be with us on X-mas Day.
Watching holiday movies always helps too.
