So this weekend was supposed to be a lot of fun and some of it was. My oldest skid had a softball tournament that started at 6:45 am!!!!!!! Who does that? Anyway it was a blast to see him batting and meeting the other moms at the event. Made me feel like a real mom lol. We get home and I put the little ones down for a nap not to mention I need a nap. I told the oldest that he could go outside and play. He goes and comes back in and starts watching a show that he isnt allowed to watch and by the way he just got off punishment like two days ago. So I told him no more t.v. The show is jersey shore and I dont let the kids watch it because they dont need to see that stuff yet. So fast forward to Sunday. I was super excited because in Santa Monica they were holding a relief run for victims of Japan. Last count I heard we raised $90,000 dollars which is awesome. I took the older two and we ran two miles and I just thought it was great we were helping them out. So we go to leave and my car wont start. I have to get towed and it cost $275!!!!!!! I was so mad but I had to do what I had to do and just pay. My SO came and picked us up and was waiting with me for the tow truck. There were the surfer kids that were really nice next to us. They asked the boys if they wanted soda and they had already had soda so I told them to say no thank you I turn my back to keep fiddling with the car they come back with soda!!!! The boys said we told them no but they gave it to us anyway and they wanted us to give you one. So I told them go to the beach dont talk to any other strangers. The tow guy came and I went to go call the boys and they are playing volleyball (we didnt bring a volleyball) I asked who gave them the ball and they they said they asked this family if they could use their ball!!!! Did I not say do not talk to strangers!!??!! I mean their are kidnappers, child molesters, and just weird people out there and they dont get it. I read an article that these people wanted to teach their kids not to talk to strangers so they had a friend that hadnt met the kids pull up when they were playing outside offered candy and soda they kids went running and he pushed them in the car and drove up around the block to scare them. Of course the friend gave the kids back after like a block but just to show them how easy it is to be fooled. Anyone think thats a good idea or horrendous? Im getting so frustrated when I say something and they do the exact opposite. It makes me sooo frustrated and my SO doesnt seem to get as frustrated which maks me mad lol. I dont want to seem like a raging sm but I want to teach them respect and common sense i.e dont talk to strangers!
