I thought I'd update.
The shower went well..dispite some medling from the bride to be...I just went ahead with how I had planned..with all the wedding guests except Mom's side invited. In the end, she was very happy and couldn't thank me enough..so all's good there.

The wedding is 2-1/2 weeks away...

Oldest Sd arrived in town Friday..she's come by the station on two occasions to visit her Dad at work....but she hasn't been here...I haven't seen or heard from her. No surprises there. My son is so excited to see the kids..... He considers them family...but that sentiment is not reciprocated by her. My son will figure out where he stands with her as well.

I really felt like family with youngest SD today..
I was driving home from work..listening to the radio..and the news said 6 soldiers were killed outside Kandahar today and that the soldiers were scheduled to come home the end of this month. Well I started to tear up a-little..youngests friend is stationed in Kandahar .and is due to come home the end of this month. Next thing you know my cell phone rings and its her....she's crying her eyes out..she's in traffic, driving home..and hear the news same time I did. So now we're both balling our eyes out..trying to drive home.. Anyway, I composed myself and calmed her down, etc.
But she called me...just like I was family. I was very touched by that.

Her friend e-mails them from Afganistan almost every night so she's got a call into his Mom's and is waiting by her computer....
He's just a kid....if he's not dead. Six of his buddy's are...and he will be changed forever.

On a different note...I'm working full-time now .. so things are very hectic...not much computer time. But full-time money is nice.
I have an appointment with a specialist next Tuesday..for my health crap. But I overheard my mother tell a friend..that Dr's found pre-cancerous cells when she had her histerectomy at age 38.. I haven't told her about what's going on with me..because she is having a hard time coping with her own life now...and doesn't need the extra stress.

My Ex & I reached an agreement and all the paperwork has been signed and filed with the court...so that's almsot a done deal. We seem to be getting along better now that it's practically behind us. I little more consideration..and notice..etc..that kind of thing...

GTG...Apparently I have dog puke to clean up!! yuk.....

I have to find time to catch up with everyone....
