It went as expected, at least...
So, we had court Friday and the restraining order was dropped, which was expected. And DSS is to stay with Moby until a new parenting plan is put in place (3-9) but we have visitation Saturdays from 9 to 5, Tuesdays 4 to 6, and Thursday 4 to 6. Again, it was expected. The thing that bothers me is that it now feels like the courts are allowing her to get away with this... Which, I realize they aren't but it's still frustrating that someone didn't just smack her... I also looked up Moby's pending case and figured out that if she is convicted of all of her charges and is given the maximum times and fees she will be in prison for 31 years and have to pay $95,000 plus pay back however much she stole. That thought put a smile on our faces. We know that she won't get the maximum on all of them but with 15 seperate counts of varying degrees of thefts and forgery, she'll get something.
On Saturday we saw DSS for the first time in 24 days and we realized something, while with his mother he learned the art of arguing... Like when I asked him not to play the piano while BS as sleeping because it was too loud... He responded with 'Not too loud' and continued to play... He's also showing more pent up energy then usual as well as some of his more violent tendencies. I realize that all kids are at least a little violent but this is like he's been watching action movies all day and is now acting out much of Bruce Lee's moves. And I also realized that the 24 days away from us has completely destroyed the small emotional attachment that he had for us to begin with. He doesn't act like we're his parents, he just acts like we're some cool adults he gets to hang out with for a few hours. I hope Moby does go to prison just because she destroyed our relationship with him... again.
