Ah, BM, you're such a winner! You make everyone so proud..even your children! *GAG* Last week, BM decided to check herself into a mental health/drug and alcohol treatment center. We heard from BM's frend, the one who dragged her to the center, that the lady who does admissions told BM something like this "You're not a druggie, but all of your actions and mental health evaluations show that you have the same tendacies(sp) as a 'crackhead' and you need to be admitted for mental health treatment tomorrow." The fees are over 1300 a month at this center, but the people are willing to check her in before the state approves her because of the severity of her mental condition/s.

So, BM checked herself in the next day. This is basically a rehab center for mentally unstable people. It's a 9-12 month program and for the first three months the patients arent allowed to have money,mail,cellsphones or visitors unless the visit is supervised. After 3 months patients are allowed to have three 10 minute phones a week.

SD10 hasn't talked to her mom since the night before BM checked herself in. In this week of BM silence, SD10 has been SOOOOO HAPPPYYYYYY! She's acting like the normal SD we knew 4 years ago!!! I can see she is genuinely happy, shes not worried, she isnt preoccupied with thinking about BM, she isn't feeling guilt from BM and you can tell she is just so much more stable, relaxed, and happy.

On another note....BM and her boyfriend will be charged with neglect and assault of a child. The boyfriend has the neglect charge(for failing to protect his daughter against BM) and BM will be charged with Assault of a Child. We don't know the degree of the chrage yet, but I do know that if it's not a 4th degree charge then it will be a felony.

short recap of CPS getting involved---BM and her boyfriend had a fight, the boyfriends daughter tried to get BM off of her dad, BM hit, pushed or in some way hurt his daughter. BM went to jail for Domestic violence. DH got custody of SD at that time. BM was released and the boyfriends ex wife saw the marks on her daughter, called the police, filed charges against BM and the boyfriend. CPS got involved and did an investigation and the assault of the child was founded.
