Surrounded by incompetence
SO has a CO now, BM is required to produce the kids ins to him. 2 weeks ago his son had stitches, and they should of been removed Monday, according to his son BM and grandma took him to the hospital but they told him (the ER) to go to wal mart (walgreens) to get them out since the child doesn't have a pediatrician (they have medicaid for spongebob's sake there are 3 peds docs in town all that take it!) So what does she and her mom do, try to remove them themselves and because 5 are mattress stitches they don't remove as simply, she left pieces in him and they are now red and swollen. So I ask him what he plans to do about his sons stitches, he walks away refusing to respond. Then 5 min later tries to come and snuggle up to me, I went off I don't feel lovey when I'm disregarded and ignored, respond to a simple question! Say "I'm going to do nothing because I'm lazy" or "I'm texting BM for the med card." or something anything!
So I snap and point out his kids need real medical care, an actual Dr to see regularly for physicals and checkups and illness now there is a CO to make this happen. What's he do gets the kid dressed and leaves supposedly for the ER. What is with this trend the ER is not a regular medical care facility! Lazy incompetent ignorant asses and won't even listen to the intelligent rational people (his sis and mom have both brought up his kids need for a doc and how nice it will be for him once he has the CO to do that!)
Next time he tells me he doesn't have to discuss his kids with me he'll be ignored every time
he asks me to watch them (which he's very good about always asking even if it's just a 5 min run to the store. ) I just won't hear him anymore. Pissed going to go help his dd yank a lose tooth. NVM on the tooth lol she just got it herself.

Sounds like BM took him to
Sounds like BM took him to the wrong hospital...and do not deal with medicare. That is what most people do on medicare...go to ER...They are not paying for it. I am not saying ALL people. My MIL is great at it.
get some PRID its a drawing
get some PRID its a drawing sauve, i used it on BS stitches when 2 broke and pices were left in it after DR looked at it.
Maybe the doctors aren't
Maybe the doctors aren't accepting new Medicaid patients.
Many of my students with Medicaid have to use the ER and health departments for everything because many doctors limit the number of Medicaid patients they will accept.
fyi - Medicare and medicaid
fyi - Medicare and medicaid are two totally separate programs.
Medicaid is for poor people. Medicare is for those over 65. A trip to ER with medicare is not free. The co-payment can be as much as $150 but is usually about $50.
I don't think Medicaid has any copays but medicare has some big ones. The stitches could have been quite easily removed at a Walgreen or Walmart urgent care center. Even without insurance it's about $60 for a visit. Not free by any means but much less than going to ER or even to a regular doctor.
Medicaid, ER does take it we
Medicaid, ER does take it we have one hospital in town, my kids have medicaid and I just had to switch peds docs for them when theirs passed away. I spoke to the new doc regarding new patients on behalf of SO, he is taking new medicaid patients and so is one of the other peds docs in the area. Kids medicaid has no co-pay in our state but it does for adults. None of our hospitals even the next city over turns patients away on insurance basis. SO had his sons stitches looked at just now in the ER sure enough several fragments of stitches left in so the doc numbed him and dug them out cleaned it up and bandaged him up, he remembered BM from when he got the stitches and was appalled she tried to remove them.
The kids haven't had a real doc in 4 years they are 6 and 7. Preventive is so much cheaper than ER, BM doesn't want a trail on the health issues with the kids, and is too lazy to care.
