Not bad for a full house
So it's the second weekend of all 4 kids in my tiny house. My kids have made space in each of their rooms for his kids and so far so good. When we had his kids 2 weekends ago I was home all weekend this weekend I'm in class 8 hours today and tomorrow so my SO has had all 4 kids by himself. I came home to food (yes it was cheap pizza but meh) a reasonably clean house (I'm no Martha Stewart so I'm happy there), my kids were off doing their thing (dd went driving with her dad since she just got her permit and ds was at his friends) and both his kids ran to give me hugs when I walked in and told me they missed me. Then went and cleaned my sons room when their dad told them to and it looked BETTER than it was before they came! Now exhausted from a long day in class I'm relaxing with my kiddos watching Harry Potter and his are off to sleep. It's a crowed house (3 br 900 sq ft) but we're all managing to make it work. Only complaint I have is both SO's lil ones have terrible coughs and BM has ignored SO's request for their ins card to take them to the Dr. And according to the kids they are not even living with her but with their uncle. I do have a question I'm not sure how to handle or what to say when over and over his 4 yr old son asks to call his mom all weekend. My SO calls her (she rarely answers and shut her phone off today) SO told his son he tried but she wouldn't answer. So should he be calling her so his son can talk to her? What should he say when she won't answer? He's only 4 so I sorta see his need for his mom especially if she's rarely with them he may be having some anxiety. What have others done?
