WTF is this the new math????
June 9th BM is sentenced to 10 days in jail for breaking the RO.
June 15th she gets another 30 days added to it with no time off stip added. Total of 40 days, which means she would have been released on July 19th. Only on July 13th she got another 6 month sentence added to her.
So if sentenced to the six months (even if you go from date of sentencing) earliest she would be out is January 13th. Now the six month sentence they did not say "No time off for good behavior". But even if they dropped HALF her sentence for "good behavior" it would be October 13th before she got out.
So: Why did I get an automated phone call today, from the State of Florida advising that the individual I have an RO against is being released on Friday? As on 09/07/2012.. you know... tomorrow!

Wow. I'd be super pissed. I would definitely be making the phone calls above...
Well, the sentences probably
Well, the sentences probably ran concurrently, so the total "time" was 6 months.
It's pretty standard to serve half of that. Overcrowding.
I sure hope she stays away this time. I'm kinda surprised you got a phone call about her release. That's kinda cool...
My bet: She'll be back in
My bet: She'll be back in jail by Monday
I put in a call to the
I put in a call to the lawyer. Thats about all I can do as contacting her parents etc would be "third party contact" and I would be in violation of the order. Not going to jail for her.
Anyone want to place bets how long before she is trying to contact the skids schools? Who btw have a copy of the order and know she is not to be given any information at all. Period.
It might also be they are
It might also be they are going from the day she was arrested and not the day she was sentenced. But i hope things work out best for the kids in this situation.
Could be a system screw up
Could be a system screw up and she's "released" for the 30 day sentence but not actually physically released for all of them could be they were ran concurrently which a lot are.
