We were supposed to pick up my SS11 and drive him to camp on Sunday with my son and their best friends. 15 minutes before we were supposed to pick him up, he come walking in the yard. His idiot BM let him walk home again without letting anyone know. I swear this is becoming a huge pet peeve for me. Anything can happen to him. I know we live in a town similar to stepford, but someone could hit him or take him, anything. She is the worst. Also, half way up to camp, we stopped at McDonald's to feed these kids and I got a good look at SS11 and he has a 2nd degree sunburn complete with a huge blister on his lip. I asked him what happened. He said that they were on the beach and he put some sunscreen on when they got there and forgot to add more. They were in Key West all week. They only go to Florida and just stay on the beach all day. I told him that wasn't his responsibility that is something that a good mom would do. I knw that was wrong, but it felt good to say it out loud. This is the third summer that he has had a really bad sunburn on her time. It has never happened on ours.

I know I am hyper sensitive about sunscreen, but really??? My first husband died from Skin Cancer after having had three kidney transplants. So I spent a lot of time in the dermatologists office seeing patients with cancers. It just seems like she forgets that this child exsists when she is with her other two. SD14 and her SD15.

I have documented all of this but, didn't get a chance to take a picture of his face before we dropped them off at camp. They were so excited to go to this camp that they were out of our lives within 10 minutes of getting to the camp. It was like a country club camp.

I just don't understand this woman. Now we had to ask for her permission to take SS11 on a trip at the end of the summer. She had to do the same for us with SD14. But, she has until today to reply to the request. Should be interesting, since SS11 mentioned to us that BM has plans with him that weekend. We said no, since that was our week. She is something else. If you can't be a good mom, at least be a good human being and put sunscreen on the kid.
