Ew
Out to eat for SDs bday. This is the first time I've went out to eat with her in a little over a year after refusing to after an incident on the 4th of July last year.
The whole meal has been SD flirting with daddeee - touching him across and under the table, staring at him until he looks and then making "cute" faces, I love you daddy's out of nowhere over and over etc. I feel gross watching it. DH is trying to ignore it but cant hide that he thinks some of it is cute. Once a year is definitely enough of this.

Oh god
you are giving me flashbacks!!!
YSS at the time stb 7 would coquettishly glance over his shoulder at Chef and bat his long white eyelashes; check to see if daddeeee was paying attention to him, repeat everything he heard for a reaction...etc
Ugh boys do it with their
Ugh boys do it with their dads too? Even weirder...
Please tell me he eventually grew out of it?
He
eventually PASed out along with his older siblings. Does skid:
1.also interrupt your conversation with daadddddeee?
2. Lay all over daadddeeee when just hanging out in the living room?
3. Follow him all around the house being unnecessarily clingy to the point of following him into the bathroom?
4. Shove you aside when walking to hold his hand?
5.Try to ride in the front passenger seat when daaddeeee is driving?
The only way to cure this is to assert yourself out of earshot of daaddeeee.
Introduce CHORES then openly praise skid for doing chores in front of daaddeeee. "Isn't Damienette such a good little worker?" (lie through your teeth if necessary when skid keeps doing half assed job)
Reiterate to skid that there's LOTS more work to be done and that you are LOOKING FORWARD to having skid, who is such a big girl, help you out as skid is such a gooood worker.
Ugh, pass the sick bag. Men
Ugh, pass the sick bag. Men often seem oblivious to this nauseating type of behaviour from their tween daughters. I suspect it flatters them.
Therapy?
Munchkin SD13 used to insinuate herself between us and bump into me. I asked my GF if this was normal kiddo behavior and she said yes. Its just strange to me, because I am not a bio mother.
I think its weird - it would be interesting to see what would possibly cause these types of issues...and how to fix them. It seems like it is extra common in divorced families. But how common is it in regular, intact families?
I've never seen it IRL other
I've never seen it IRL other than her - only heard of it on here so I find it very odd. I pay alot more attention to it now to see if other kids act like that and maybe I'm reading too much into it but I honestly have not ever seen another kid act like it.
ETA: I have a bio son nearly 9 also who is an overly touchy feely kid in general - needs to be reminded to give people personal space etc sometimes and even he doesnt display behaviors that could be construed as mini husband
