SD13 talking s**t

Ok so I work in IHSS for my grandmother.my grandmother also goes to the same church as SD13. So any who my grandmother told me today your SD hates your guts. And I was like WTF? She said she asked SD if she liked me she said NO! I don't like her at All she took my dad way from me my dad won't talk to me anymore becuase of her I don't want her to have another baby she's not my mother blah blah blah I know this is normal kid behavior but does it get worse or does it get better?

If it is already like THAT...it gets worse! Sorry hun Sad

The only one that can get this kid in check is her father! He needs to set boundaries and make it known that he will not tolerate or condone any disrespect of you in his home or in his presence. You already know she won't listen to you so your only line of defense and source of protection is your DH.

You nor your husband can force SD to like you.

If I were in your husband's shoes, I would be pissed with your grandmother. Her.actions ( asking SD if she likes you then running back to report what she said) were wrong.

It's ok for SD to hate you. It's not ok for her to disrespect you.

I am 12.5 years older then oldest skid and 18.5 years younger then DH.... And to be honest the age issue doesn't come up (much to my surprise) i think it depends more on ur maturity then ur age... I struggled at first to accept i was not the youngest, most popular and most attractive girl in the house when they were there (whether or not its true)... Very strange thing to do while still in ur 20s lol, but it has paid off in spades. I had nightmares about how awful these kids were going to be based on me being closer in age to them then their dad. Kids will always love u one day and hate u the next that's what teens are best at, but as long as you give them their time to shine and set ur ego aside, u should have more good days then bad
